The agreement enables Logicalis to acquire network security systems directly from Blue Coat to integrate them into projects provided to the public sector, corporate clients and the telecom market.
Blue Coat Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Web security and WAN optimization solutions, and Logicalis, the largest global provider of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) solutions and services in Latin America, have signed an agreement that enables Logicalis to buy digital networks security systems directly from Blue Coat to incorporate them into projects offeredin Brazil and throughout the Cone Sul region.
By having Logicalis as a partner, Blue Coat, which operates through sales channels, aims to grow in vertical markets, including telecommunications, in which Logicalis has a strong presence.
"This alliance will undoubtedly strengthen our presence in the communication services operators'regionalmarket," said Ray Jimenez, vice president of sales and operations at Blue Coat in Latin America, who also highlighted the integrator’sstrong presence in sectors such as government and the financial market, as well as its importance as a supplier for large corporations. Among Logicalis Latin America customers are, for example, companies like Vale do Rio Doce, Banco Santander, BancoItaú and Petrobras, among others.
"Logicalis seeks alliances with suppliers of the best and most recognized technologies, which complement our portfolio and enable us to offer complete solutions to our customers”, said Renata Randi, Logicalis’director of marketing and alliances. The executive explained that among the parameters examined in the search for partners, are the position in the reports of international market analysis companies and theadoption of theirsystems by large global corporations.

For Ray Jiménez, the agreement with Logicalis will result in benefits for both companies, "Logicalis needs to put on the market systems that are updated with Information Technology, such as Blue Coat solutions, while we will benefit from its strong position in the market to generate demand and boost business”.
