Luis Minoru Shibata is PromonLogicalis’ new CIO

The executive is responsible for the company’s consultancy services

After five years as consultancy director at PromonLogicalis, provider of information and communication technologies (ICT) services and solutions for Latin America, Luis Minoru Shibata takes over as CIO for Brazil, a newly created position by the company.

According to Minoru, the new position’s main challenge will be to maximize corporate productivity through a better combination of infrastructure, applications, governance and TI security, in a period when PromonLogicalis grows strong in Latin America. “With the rise of new technologies and new business models, it is an even more special moment for it allows us to digitally transform the company”, said the executive.

Answering directly to the company’s CEO, Rodrigo Parreira, the CIO will also be responsible for IT investments in innovative ways, prioritizing internal units demand, but always taking into consideration how new trends may impact the digital corporate environment. “In this new position, I’ll have the opportunity to apply on daily basis what we recommend to our consultancy clients. Our goal is to become a reference in using IT as competitive advantage”, he said.

Minoru has more than 15 years of experience in ICT. In his first jobs at the company, between 1999 and 2001, the worked at the Telecommunications and Marketing areas. In 2009, when he returned to PromonLogicalis, he took over as consultancy director. He’s also worked in leadership positions in respectable companies such Yankee Group and Ipsos Public Affairs.
